Thankful

Today was the last day of Catechism class before Christmas. I help teach a class of 20 Grade 2 children who are all preparing for their First Communion in May 2013. One of my students, Lucy, gave me a lovely gift today, and she made it herself! She is only 7 years old. So thank you Lucy for my beautiful new scarf, I will wear it with gratitude and happiness.

I can’t help but compare my class this morning to those poor innocent children who were taken from their families on Friday.

So today I am thankful for all the kids in my class, even the ones who don’t really want to be there, and Thank God for the most special child in the world that he has given me.
